1. In a chutney jar, take all the ingredients for the chutney and grind well. First grind with little water and then add more water and grind to a smooth paste.
2. Empty the chutney in a bowl.
3. Heat the oil in a tadka bowl and lower the flame.
4. Add the mustard seeds to the oil and let them crackle.
5. Pour the tempering on the chutney and mix well.
6. Serve the chutney with idlis or dosas or vadas or any other dish as you like.
